Mary MacKillop Place stands on the country of the Cammeraygal People. It is place where Mary MacKillop lived, ministered and died. Following in her footsteps, Mary MacKillop Place is a place of pilgrimage, inclusion, warmth and welcome.
Making connections with a wide variety of people we tell the story of St Mary MacKillop and Fr Julian Tenison Woods and strive to continue their legacy in our times.
Visiting Us in Person
Mary MacKillop Place has something for everyone. As a sacred place of hospitality all are welcome.
We offer a Chapel, Museum, beautiful gardens, a Cafe and Gift Shop as well as Accommodation, Conference, Function and Event facilities.
Your visit contributes directly to the continuing mission and works of the Sisters of Saint Joseph.

 CHAPEL Our Chapel was built in memory of Mary MacKillop. In January 1914 Mary's body was moved from Gore Hill cemetery to the Chapel. Today the Chapel is a place of pilgrimage, where people can find healing, peace and spiritual support within an atmosphere of quiet and peace. Accommodation & Conferences: Put "80 William Street, North Sydney" into your GPS device. | A designated bus zone (drop off/pick up only) is located directly in front of the Mary MacKillop Place Museum. Coaches and mini-buses are able to drop off and pick up in the bus zone from 10:00am to 4:00pm (Monday - Saturday). |

There is no visitor parking available on-site.
There are several parking stations located in North Sydney.
There is metered street parking in Mount Street, North Sydney.
Accessibility
All areas of Mary MacKillop Place are accessible via ramps or in the Chapel a wheelchair lift.
- Toilets – Wheelchair accessible toilets are located in two places 1) near the Museum/Cafe & Gift Shop 2) near the Chapel.
- Assistance animals – Assistance animals trained to assist people with disabilities are welcome.
- Borrow a Wheelchair – The wheelchair is located at the Museum Reception desk.
